Halifax County citizens place great emphasis on education and throughout Halifax County, you'll find a wide range of high quality educational opportunities. Students starting in pre-school can progress through high school, vocational and technical training, certificate programs or a four-year college degree without having to leave the area. Excellent libraries and active parental involvement are just some of the reasons why many of our schools and students excel.
There are three public school districts in Halifax County that provide a quality education for our children:
- Roanoke Rapids Graded School District
- Halifax County Schools

All schools are accredited by the State.
