Construction of the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites continues at Interstate 95 Exit 173 in Weldon. Installation of water, sewer, roads and drainage improvements for the hotel and the I-95 Commerce Park is underway by Rightmyer Machine Rentals of Roanoke Rapids. Developed by Carolina Star Hospitality, the 97-room hotel is on track for completion in April of 2025.
Adding to the development, Longhorn Steakhouse has submitted a site plan for construction of a restaurant location near the hotel. Look for additional developments at this location in the coming weeks.
