Roanoke Valley Lumber Update

Roseburg Forest Products’ new east coast sawmill, Roanoke Valley Lumber, is now producing lumber at its facility in Weldon, NC. This project represents a $230 million investment by Roseburg Forest Products and brings 130 jobs to Halifax County.

Earlier this year, Roseburg donated the first truckload of southern yellow pine lumber produced in Weldon to the Halifax County 4-H Rural Life Center. The Center serves as the base for county-wide education and recreation programs and hosts summer day camps for 350 youth annually.
