Halifax County Business Horizons, Inc. has received a grant of $16,000 from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation’s Environmental Education and Stewardship Initiative. The funding aims to bolster environmental preservation efforts within the Town of Weldon through the Weldon Shoreline Stabilization Project.

“Shoreline erosion is threatening recreation opportunities provided at River Falls Park for Weldon’s residents and visitors,” commented Hugh Credle, Mayor of Weldon. “These funds will be the foundational point in our efforts to stabilize the riverine shoreline to prevent further erosion from occurring.”

The official presentation of funding was made by Winnie Wade, External Affairs Manager for Dominion Energy North Carolina, underscoring the energy company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community support. “The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation is proud to support nonprofits like Halifax County Business Horizons, Inc.
