Tesla is making a major investment in Halifax County with the construction of a 48-stall addition to the 20 super charging stations at the Oasis Travel Center at Exit 168 on Interstate 95. This expansion makes the Oasis location the largest on the East Coast with a total of 68 electric vehicle (EV) charging stalls.
A standout feature of the new expansion is the solar canopy that covers 23 of the charging stations, demonstrating Tesla’s commitment to sustainability. Additionally, the new charging systems feature Tesla’s innovative Magic Dock technology which includes an adapter that enables non-Tesla electric vehicles (EVs) to utilize Tesla Superchargers. By integrating the Combined Charging System (CCS) charging standard into Tesla’s plug, the Magic Dock allows compatibility with most EVs. The adapter is conveniently available at each charging post.
This significant expansion strengthens Halifax County’s position as a hub for EV travelers and is a significant step forward in sustainable infrastructure development.
