Heaton Construction Expands to Halifax Industrial Center

Heaton Construction Company is expanding its footprint in Halifax County with the construction of a new 15,000-square-foot operations center near Interstate 95, just off NC Highway 903 at the Halifax Industrial Center. Earlier this year, the Halifax County Board of Commissioners approved an economic development incentive grant to support the expansion project.

“We are pleased that Heaton Construction has selected the Halifax Industrial Center for their expanded operations,” commented Vernon Bryant, Chairman of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners. “It is important that we work with local businesses, like Heaton Construction, to support their continued growth and expansion in Halifax County.”

Kenny Heaton, President of Heaton Construction, shared his enthusiasm for the project. “The Halifax Industrial Center is a perfect location for us as we continue to grow and expand our business footprint. Being close to Interstate 95 will not only help us in serving our growing customer base, but also assist us in drawing workers from a wider area.”

Construction is set for completion in early 2025.
