Halifax County, North Carolina is centered between major metropolitan areas on the mid-Atlantic coast. The port cities of Norfolk, VA (Hampton Roads); Morehead City, NC; and Wilmington, NC. The major cities of Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC (Research Triangle); and Charlotte, NC. With Halifax County as a keystone, the area between Richmond, Norfolk, and Raleigh create a megalopolis.
