Halifax Horizons Receives $250,000 Legislative Appropriation

Halifax County Business Horizons, a nonprofit economic development organization supporting Halifax County, will receive $250,000 in state funding thanks to the work of Representative Michael H. Wray. At their meeting this week, Representative Wray presented the Board of Directors a $250,000 mock check to signify support for the organization’s work in serving as a catalyst for development in all of Halifax County.”

“I have observed the role that Halifax Horizons plays in our community,” commented Representative Wray. “As a group of business owners, governmental leaders, and individuals that are committed to improve our economic opportunities, my wish is that these funds be used to continue your work in supporting new job creation and investment in our communities.”

After a round of applause by Board members, President Dan Brown thanked Representative Wray for his efforts on behalf of Halifax County. In the current state budget, Representative Wray worked to secure over $42 million for infrastructure and for community and economic development projects in Halifax and Northampton Counties.
