At their June meeting, the Board of Directors of the Halifax County Economic Development Commission elected officers for the upcoming fiscal year, highlighting a strong lineup of local leadership for the year ahead. Enfield native Ronnie Locke was re-elected as Chairman, continuing his dedicated service to the Board. The Board also elected Sherry Jensen, former Vice-President of Finance at ECU Health North Hospital as Vice-Chair and retired Truist executive, Chip Fouts, was elected Secretary.
“I am honored to be re-elected as Chair of the Economic Development Commission,” commented Ronnie Locke. “I look forward to continuing to work with the officers and Board of Directors to promote Halifax County as a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
The Economic Development Commission is made up of citizen volunteers appointed by the Halifax County Board of Commissioners and serves as an advisory board for economic development. The Board is a diverse group of individuals with expertise in finance, education, manufacturing, marketing, agriculture, and business ownership.
