Halifax County Commissioners Recognize Weldon Mills Distillery

The Halifax County Board of Commissioners recognized the owners of Weldon Mills Distillery for its outstanding achievement of being named the 2024 Small Business of the Year by Business NC Magazine. In making the presentation, Vernon Bryant, Chairman of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners, commented, “This accolade is a testament to a vision and the hard work and dedication involved in building a globally-recognized brand, right on the banks of the Roanoke River.”

Ronnie Locke, Chairman of the Halifax County Economic Development Commission, presented a plaque to owners Michael Hinderliter and Bruce Tyler, commenting, “Your innovative sprit and dedication bring distinction and pride to Halifax County.”
