Scott Aman, President of New Dixie Oil Corporation, was recently elected as President of Halifax County Business Horizons, Inc. He succeeds Dan Brown who served an extended term as President.
“I am honored to serve as President of Halifax Horizons. We have a great group of members and a strong Board of Directors, many of whom are business leaders and tremendous stakeholders in our community,” commented Aman.
Jason Harrell, President of ECU Health North Hospital, was elected as Vice-President. Chip Fouts will serve another term as Treasurer and Ken Braswell, Director of Manufacturing for Reser’s Fine Foods, was re-elected as Secretary.
Halifax Horizons is a nonprofit corporation with a mission to provide funding for economic development projects in all of Halifax County. The organization’s corporate and individual members have a true commitment to improve the quality of life in Halifax County. Most recently, Halifax Horizons played a major role in recruiting Roseburg Forest Products to Halifax County by entering into a purchase agreement for the former Roanoke Valley Energy site and completing demolition and clearance of the structures on the site prior to the sale and transfer to the company.
