NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION BOARD

The Halifax County Economic Development Commission (HCEDC) recently announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board is County Commissioner Chenoa Richardson Davis. Davis is the first member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe to be elected to the Halifax County Board of Commissioners. 

Dr. Patrena Elliott joins the Economic Development Commission Board as President of Halifax Community College. Dr. Elliott began serving as the sixth and first female President of Halifax Community College on January 1. 

We are excited to have Commissioner Davis and Dr. Elliott join the Economic Development Commission Board of Directors,” commented Ronnie Locke, Chairman. “These individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Board as we work collaboratively to create economic opportunities in all of Halifax County.”
